Ken Langston

Ken regularly attends industry conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new technologies, green building methods and he’s trained in L.E.E.D. projects. He’s practiced at Chief Architect, knowledgeable in flat roofing products and has worked with local historical societies on historic buildings. He’s very active with Ducks Unlimited and he and his wife and children enjoy camping, hunting and fishing.


 

Noah Koch

Noah began working for Koch Construction during the summer of 2008 and continued to do so throughout high school. It was during this time that his passion for the construction industry developed and led him to choose to study construction engineering at Iowa State. During summers while attending college, he had the opportunity to work in Chicago and Kansas City as an intern with some of the top contractors in the area. Noah has joined Koch Construction as a full-time employee after earning his degree from Iowa State. In his free time he enjoys camping, golfing, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors.


 

Jeff Koch

Jeff brings over 35 years of experience and a hands-on approach to every project to ensure customers are more than satisfied with the finished product. He takes great pride in the craftsmanship, work ethic, and professionalism of all members of his team. He and Brenda have a daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons in Houston. Their oldest son has joined the business at Koch Construction, and their youngest son attends Iowa State.


 

Carrie Buschmann

Carrie’s attention to detail and organization is key to achieving the customer’s vision for their project. She’s had a special interest in the design phase of home building since she was a child, due to her grandparents’ quest for the perfect home. Carrie has a degree in Interior Design and her work has been in kitchen and bath design since 1995.


 

Karl Koch

Karl was born in the United States but raised in Denmark, returning to the U.S. at age 25. He’s still active with the company he started in 1980, reporting to the shop most mornings to see how he can contribute to the day’s projects. When he’s not working on Koch Construction jobs, he’s building items for community fundraising auctions. He also enjoys history, reading, horses, and of course, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


 

Mark Koch

Mark has spent his entire career in the construction industry, from the lumberyard to finished homes. He enjoys the broad range of projects handled by Koch Construction and the opportunity to sweat the details so customers don’t have to. Mark and Merri have three adult children, a son-in-law, and one grandson. Mark enjoys fitness, bicycling, and canoeing.


 

Brad Becker

Brad's artistic abilities enhance his fine craftsmanship. His organization skills and enviable disposition make him a pleasure to have on any project. Brad farms his parents' century farm, raises beef cattle, and enjoys indoor and outdoor sports and activities.


 

John Everman

John brings his uncanny troubleshooting and problem solving abilities to remodeling projects. He’s IRCA certified in both low-slope and steep-slope roofing. John has said he’d be happy fitting ornate moldings full time, but he enjoys spending time on the Cedar River with his children and four grandchildren too.


 

Ryan Maltas

You won’t have any trouble getting a word in edgewise with Ryan, but don’t let his stoicism fool you, he knows his stuff and brings a strong work ethic to his projects. He has a son named Kaleb and they enjoy outdoor recreation, sports, karaoke, and watching movies.


 

Justin Manifold

Justin’s mechanical ability and problem solving skills are brought to bear in many areas, especially complex rooflines. Justin enjoys hunting, fishing and canoeing and he’s very active in Northeast Iowa Ducks Unlimited. The chapter is one of the top 10 in the nation in promoting wetlands conservation. Justin, his wife and two children live in Cedar Falls.


 

Kyle Shock

The Koch’s met Kyle through scouting where Kyle earned the Rank of Eagle Scout. Kyle worked in manufacturing out of high school. When he was ready to return to his hometown he joined Koch Construction. Kyle has developed in to an all-around carpenter and roofer leading many projects on his own. Kyle enjoys the outdoors, hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, and frisbee golf. He and his sweetheart who he met while working at HyVee in high school reside in Waterloo with their dog Ellie.



 

Bobby Fox

Bobby has spent most of his life in manufacturing, and specifically in welding. Bobby and his family have been building and renovating houses all along. In 2010 Bobby left the manufacturing sector to work in the construction industry, which has become his passion. Bobby is also an avid drag car fan and racer, although he currently does not own a car. Bobby’s welding, racing (mechanical), and building skills are a real asset to Koch Construction. Bobby and his wife have two children and live in Shell Rock.


 

Oksana Gray

Oksana began her career as a carpenter following high school graduation in Ohio. She worked her way up to a journeyman in the union, where she gained experience in all facets of residential and commercial construction. Now, with nearly a decade of experience, she plays a key role in many of the projects taken on at Koch Construction. Watch out for her on the jobsite – she brings a strong work ethic and a real sense of urgency with her each day. When she’s not practicing her craft as a carpenter, Oksana enjoys spending time with her niece, playing with her great dane, and time spent boating on the Cedar River.     


 

Susan Hoeg

Susan manages the front office and takes care of accounting. Her upbeat demeanor is familiar to those who have called our office or walked into our showroom. She enjoys listening to the needs of our customers to find out how we can best serve them. Susan enjoys the outdoors and family time with her husband and their son.


 

Dan Thompson

Dan started his construction career as a teenager roofing neighbors' homes and outbuildings. After college, he began working an office job but continued to do remodeling in his free time. He soon returned full time to his passion of construction. Dan's greatest enjoyment is bringing homeowners' dreams to life. Dan and his family have called Cedar Falls their home for the last 30 years and continue to be active with their church, scouts, and their children's school and sports activities.



 

Drew Sturm

Drew came to Koch Construction with a very broad background. He has a degree from Iowa State in Landscape Architecture, and that is where most of his work experience is. He also spent two years as an apprentice to RVP 1875, which is a historic furniture shop that uses no power tools to produce it’s pieces. Drew enjoys rock climbing as well as rebuilding vintage motorcycles. Interestingly, Drew’s dad did a stint at Koch Construction years ago.
